Much later,
Partner was drowsy
Yet once more
We bit peach,
Drank fountains
I heard tattoo drums roll
For each of us they rolled.
Lakes, clouds, trees,
I heard some nocturnal bird howl
Not for us the melancholic cry!
Merrily, merrily we sang.
